** Former Texas paramedic sentenced to lengthy federal prison stay on child porn possession conviction
** Accused in murder of UK paramedic to be held in jail till September when he enters plea

** A former West, Texas paramedic, convicted on child porn possession charges, has been sentenced to 174 months in federal custody. That is the word from KWTX (June 4) which said Thomas John Nors, Jr. will also face ten years supervised release on the two charges. According to the newspaper, restitution in the amount of $25,000 has additionally been set. Nors pleaded guilty April 10; he has been in jail awaiting trial since February 10. Nors was arrested 8 days prior when police were alerted that a man was attempting to photograph young boys in department store bathrooms. A search warrant was then executed on his home. Along with Bellmead and Waco police, the FBI and the Department of Public Safety all participated in making the case against Nors.

** An Arkleby man, charged in the murder of a paramedic, will remain in custody until September 17th when he registers a plea in the case. The Cumbria Crack (Carl Fallowfield/June 4) said Michael Sanderson, 30, briefly appeared in court Thursday. According to the newspaper, Sanderson has been tagged with the alleged Sunday murder of paramedic Terry Taylor, 59. Taylor, who leaves 3 children behind, was fatally injured outside the Cockermouth’s Globe Hotel.There is no word on what the motive for the crime might have been.
