** Female Florida paramedic charged again with beating boyfriend

** Johannesburg paramedic charged with molesting 14 boys

** Police have yet again charged a female Florida paramedic with beating her ex-boyfriend. The St. Petersburg Times (Justin George/July 28) said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue provider Dawn Mewborn, 33, was arrested Friday. Mewborn, who was previously arrested June 22 for kicking her better half in the head, has been tagged with simple battery. On a leave of absence since March, Mewborn has served about five years in EMS.

** The EMS Hall of Shame could soon welcome a new inductee, if a Johannesburg paramedic is convicted of sexually assaulting fourteen boys. The SAPA (July 27) said the Mpumalanga practitioner, 28, appeared in court last Thursday for incidents which occurred in Middleburg in 2005. According to the news site, the paramedic gained access to the boys through friendships with their parents. Along with a laptop, police seized a camera and DVD molestation footage from the man’s home. His next court appearance is set for August 10.
