** New South Wales police in Tumut are investigating after a Sunday attack in which either a gun or slingshot shattered an ambulance windshield. The Daily Advertiser (Ashleigh Gleeson/November 20) said the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m., played out as medics were attending on an asthma patient. According to the newspaper, the non transporting providers were outside the unit’s doors when broken glass flew off in all directions. The source of the blast was found to be a small hole in the vehicle’s front windscreen. No one was injured in the incident, but the ambulance was removed from service.
