** Former South Carolina EMT pleads guilty to sexually assaulting immobilized female patient

** Illinois paramedic found dead at home apparently victim of dog attack

** A former South Carolina EMT has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a female immobilized patient. That is the word from Live5News (Ray Rivera/November 15) which said Goose Creek resident Anthony Louis Green, 45, admitted to the June 2011 attack which occurred as the domestic violence victim was strapped to a backboard. According to the news site, Green, who was arrested in January, acknowledged knowing his victim was physically helpless at the time of the incident. Working full time for Charleston County since May 2001, he was nabbed as the assailant after his DNA was recovered from the victim.

** A Big Rock, Illinois paramedic/firefighter found dead in her home last Monday was apparently attacked and killed by one of her three dogs. NBC Chicago (November 15) said Dawn Brown, 44, was discovered at the bottom of a flight of stairs by her husband in the late afternoon hours. The Daily Mail (Lydia Warren/November 14) said the body had evidence of bite marks around the neck. According to both news sites, her pets included a 140 pound mastiff who was new to the home, as well as a boxer and a pit bull mix. Authorities have said they do not know what provoked the attack, but all three animals are now in the custody of local animal control. Brown worked full time for Bristol Kendal Fire Protection District. A memorial service was held Saturday in Big Rock.
