** UK air ambulance crew stunned when man refused to vacate landing site during emergency transfer

** Main suspect in California beating of paramedic may not be in video footage of earlier confrontation

**  A Polish man at Blackpool’s De Vere Hotel was fined and had his car impounded Sunday after he refused to make way for an air ambulance trying to land to retrieve a dying patient. The Daily Mail (June 25) said the older male, who was described as aggressive by air crews who later spoke with him, was blocking the chopper’s landing zone, as well as the gate access to the pad. After being signaled by pilots attempting to set down, the man merely waived them off in annoyance. Air ambulance chief pilot John Taylor said he and his coworkers were incredulous at the man’s actions. Hovering for about 1/2 an hour, the chopper was eventually able to land after police removed the individual. The patient, meanwhile, died a short time later.

** A video tape taken prior to the Dodger Stadium beating of a California paramedic does not apparently show the main suspect police believe attacked Bryan Stow. That is the word from the San Francisco Chronicle (Demian Bulwa/June 27) which said the film taken inside the stadium and aired on the celebrity news site TMZ.com, shows a man clad in a cap and blue jersey with the word “Banda” on it. Engaged in some sort of verbal confrontation with Stow, the man’s jersey also sports the number 23. Spanish can additionally be heard on the footage, but the newspaper said it is not clear who is doing the talking. The video comes at a time when police have named Giovanni Ramirez, 31, as the main suspect in the attack;Ramirez, however, has maintained his innocence. Stow, who was in a medically induced coma following the assault, has only recently regained consciousness. Doctors say the 42-year-old, who suffered brain damage during the onslaught, has made progress but has many obstacles ahead of him.
