UNITED STATES NEWS

** A former Texas combat medic from The Colony is dead after allegedly being shot Sunday by his own brother. That is the word from CBSDFW (July 25) which said Chandler Davis, 34,  was apparently gunned down by John Davis III, 38, after a fight over a firearm. According to the news station, family members told police the incident started after Chandler accused John of stealing a gun from him. When John began recording the argument on his phone, Chandler grabbed it and John fired on him. John, who is being held in jail on a $100,000 bond, said he took action after believing his life was in danger. There is no word on his next court date. Funeral services for Chandler, meanwhile, are pending.
