** New York ambulance pelted with BB bullets; medic hit in the abdomen

** A Bronx EMT from New York is recovering from minor injuries after being shot in the abdomen by several BB pellets Friday. The New York Post (Kenneth Garger/Larry Celona/July 8) said the 10:20 p.m. incident occurred as the medic was in the ambulance stopped at a red light. The practitioner was transported to Lincoln Hospital following the shooting. CBS New York (July 8) said police arrested a 15-year-old boy in relation to the incident. According to the news site, the boy fired the BB gun from the third floor of a building. He told police he was just playing around and had not intended to hit anyone.
