** Virginia officials in Amelia County say autopsy results are still pending for paramedic Woodell
Brooks who died last week after a Thursday hostage taking incident in which his wife was abducted.
WWBT (January 26) said US Marshalls are now scouring the country for Olene Brooks whose captor
is believed to be Dana Lee William, 43. According to the news station, William, who has two children by
Olene’s daughter, was only released from prison last summer. He was serving time for rape and
is a registered sex offender. In the last Thursday incident, several family members
were also held at gunpoint.
** Police in Kalamazoo, Michigan are investigating a former paramedic for potential involvement in
the death of his mother. That is the word from NewsChannel13 (Lourin Sprenger/January 26)
which said police are attempting to discern whether the mother of Joseph Weeks was poisoned.
Week’s mom Evelyn, 73, who was buried in North Carolina, died in September 2012. Her body has
already exhumed and sent for autopsy. A police spokesman said new information has come forward
to raise suspicions that Evelyn’s death was not natural. Weeks, himself, who is no stranger to police,
resided with his mother until her death. He is currently out on bail after being arrested for embezzling
funds from an area charity.
