** Police in Okaloosa County, Florida have formally charged an area paramedic who allegedly used her cell phone to photograph unconscious, sedated, or intubated patients in a selfie competition with a co-worker. That is the word from The Pensacola News-Journal (July 28) which said Navarre resident Kayla Renee Dubois, 24, was arrested yesterday and tagged with interception and disclosure of oral communications x 2. The charge is a third degree felony. Meanwhile, a warrant has been issued for Christopher Wimmer, 33. Some 41 patients between the ages of 24-86 were victimized in the stunt. Some of the pics were also shared with other medics and non practitioners. Dubois was fired May 20th, while Wimmer quit the same day. There is no word on when future court proceedings are being held.
