** A Panama City, Florida woman remains in jail without bond after being arrested for spitting on an EMT trying to help her Wednesday. The News and Tribune (Gary Popp/July 16) said Christy Overstreet, 38, has so far been charged with battery by bodily waste in the Jacksonville incident. According to the newspaper, EMS was hailed to treat an intoxicated Overstreet around 8:30 p.m. Already slurring her words, she also indicated she was an insulin dependent diabetic. While en route to hospital, she punched at the attending paramedic and spit in his face. The woman was then restrained and a towel was put around her mouth to prevent her from spewing any more spittle.  Police were called shortly afterwards. A breathalyzer test determined her blood alcohol level as .311. Although she has been handed the above mentioned preliminary charge, further tags could be pending.
