** Texas police in Weatherford shot a man Tuesday who threatened paramedics with a knife. That is the word from the Weatherford Democrat (June 23) which said the morning incident occurred after medics were called to attend a man who was stumbling around aimlessly outside an area store. After menacing the practitioners, the man entered the store and police shot him inside the doorway. Following the shooting, the suspect was medevaced to hospital where he remains in serious condition. The paramedics, meanwhile, were not injured in the incident.
