** Elderly Nevada man charged with assaulting female paramedic during airplane flight

** US Army combat medic who murdered wife was high on drugs at the time, toxicology report finds

UNITED STATES NEWS

** Minnesota police have charged an elderly Nevada man with assaulting a female paramedic during a private airplane flight last September. Minnesota Public Radio (Elizabeth Dunbar/June 14) said the 83-year-old, who was also being tended to by a nurse, apparently both grabbed and twisted the practitioner’s breast as she aided him to his seat. According to the news site, Robert M. Lee expressed defiance when confronted with his act, saying he could do as he pleased. He also insulted a female nurse by suggesting she wear more revealing clothing.

** An Olympia, Washington combat medic, who shot his wife to death in April and who may have murdered his 5-year-old son, was apparently high on drugs at the time. That is the word from the Associated Press (June 13) which said toxicology tests found Army Sgt. David Stewart had consumed MDPV, associated with bath salts, at the time of the April 5 death. The chemical, similar to a methamphetamine, was also found in his wife April. Both perished after a police chase. Stewart’s son, Jordan, was killed by one of the two parents placing a plastic bag on his head and asphyxiating him. Police have been unable to prove which of the two was the murderer. Stewart had served two tours of duty in Iraq.
