** Texas paramedic faces up to five years in prison

** Queensland, Australia man arrested for assaulting ambulance officer

** A Seminole, Texas paramedic is facing up to five years in prison, after being indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury. KWES (October 28) said John Eric Gilliam, 39, was arrested on child porn charges after authorities received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He is currently being held in custody in Odessa.

AUSTRALIA NEWS

** A Russell Island man is expected to appear in court today, after punching a Queensland medic in the face. The Brisbane Times (October 28) said the unidentified 33-year-old was tagged with assault, threatening violence, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, willful damage, and use of a carriage service to make threats. According to the newspaper, he became aggressive after practitioners were hailed to treat him. Occurring around 12:20 a.m. Sunday, the incident played out with the man fleeing the scene before turning up at the ambulance station. He then proceeded to vandalize a phone and the locale’s front door before exiting again. Phone threats were also issued. Police arrested him a short time later at his residence.
