He has been charged with attempted murder x 2 and assault with a deadly weapon x 2. There is no word yet on the motive for the attack.
** A Detroit paramedic who didn’t want to do CPR on a dying baby has been fired. That is the word from WWLP (June 25) which said Anne Marie Thomas was let go after 2 internal investigations. According to the news site, Thomas was around the corner from a home earlier this week when she was dispatched to attend an infant who was not breathing. Thomas allegedly said she wasn’t going to do compressions for 10 minutes given how families are in these situations. A second EMS unit was hailed to resuscitate and transport the child to hospital. Although the baby was revived, he died the next day.
