** A Mesa, Arizona EMT has been charged with theft and trafficking in stolen property after he allegedly
stole a watch from a patient and tried to sell it on eBay. That is the word from the East Valley Tribune
(November 11) which said Rural Metro Corporation medic Jason Edward Alexander, 32, was arrested Friday.
According to the newspaper, Alexander was treating Vietnam veteran and former Navy Seal Michael Brandon
in September when he allegedly stole the 1969 Rolex Submariner watch valued at around $10,000. After
Brandon’ death, his family noticed the item was missing and found it listed on the auction site with
Alexander as the seller. Once confronted, Alexander apparently said he sold the watch to a friend for $1,400.
A trial date has not yet been set.
