** Georgia EMT killed on way home from work in wrong way crash

** A female Georgia EMT from Oconee County is dead after being hit by a wrong way driver on her way home from work Friday. WSB TV (September 23) said Jennifer Patrick, 43, who worked for National EMS in Athens, died in the later hours after being hit head-on. According to the news site, a Wednesday EMS procession transported her body to Tennessee for burial. A prehospital medic of eight years, she was also employed part time with Elbert County EMS. Patrick was remembered by co-workers as a dedicated professional who always took the best interests of her patient into account. Funeral services are pending.
