** Missouri EMT trainee, shot in June at a restaurant, released from hospital

** A Missouri EMT trainee from St. Louis County is now out of hospital after being shot at a St. John Applebees June 23rd. KSDK (Ashley Cole/August 10) said Arlydia Bufford, who is also a firefighter, was released from hospital after a lengthy stay for physical therapy and rehab. According to the news site, a contingent of EMTs and firefighters escorted her from the facility to her home. Bufford, who wants to return to work by early next year, was just one of three women shot that night. One died, while the other continues to recover. Police said suspect Courtney Washington, 28, has no apparent connection to the women. He has been charged with first-degree murder and remains in jail pending the posting of a $1 million cash bond.
