** Texas EMT arrested after truck crashes into house, critically injuring young girl

** A Texas paramedic from Kerrville has been arrested and charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury after a Thursday accident which critically wounded an 8-year-old girl. KENS5 (Erin Rodriguez/August 7) said Isaac Rodriguez Barboza Jr., 23, was taken into custody shortly after his pickup truck crashed into an area home. According to the newspaper, the vehicle bashed through a wall around 11 p.m. in the girl’s bedroom. She was medevaced to San Antonio. Barboza, who has worked with the Kerrville Fire Department since October 28, 2019, remains at the Kerr County Jail pending the posting of a $65,000 bond.
