** Retired Ontario paramedic from Brantford wins lottery

** A retired Ontario paramedic from Brantford literally won the lottery this month when he bagged $100,000 in the July 3rd Lotto Max draw. The Brantford Expositor (July 21) said Walter Rieser, 72, discovered he was a winner after checking his numbers on the OLB Lottery app. According to the newspaper, when he told his wife of his luck she apparently did not believe him. As for how he plans to spend his windfall, Rieser said he would pay bills and help pay for his grandchildren’s education. He also said he will likely buy a new car.
