** Denver ambulances in Colorado attacked by George Floyd rioters

** Colorado paramedics in Denver are apparently suffering the effects of George Floyd protests, with a spokesman for EMS says several ambulances have been attacked during the unrest. That is the word from KDVR (Jenna Carroll/May 31) which quoted a Denver Health spokesman who declined to offer specifics on the damage incurred. According to the news site, no prehospital crews have been harmed so far, but medics attending rioters have been wearing both ballistic vests and helmets. Police are also assisting EMS in entering and leaving scenes safely. The protests were sparked May 25th when Minnesota man Floyd died after an arresting police officer restrained him by placing his boot on Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes. The officer, Derek Chauvin, has now been charged with murder.
