** FBI now looking into fatal shooting of Kentucky EMT
UNITED STATES NEWS
** Kentucky FBI agents in Louisville are now looking into the fatal shooting of an EMT. That is the word from The Mercury News (Scottie Andrew/May 21) which quoted agent Robert Brown as saying the investigation will ensure that the facts of the case are examined in a fair and impartial manner. The look-see will delve into the March shooting death of Breonna Taylor, 26, by narcotics police at her home. According to the newspaper, Taylor suffered at least eight gunshot wounds. Police said they were returning fire from Taylor’s boyfriend. Taylor’s mother, however, who is now suing, said the police forced their way into her home and failed to find any drugs. None of the three plainclothes officers involved wore body cameras. Taylor’s boyfriend, meanwhile, survived the shootout and was charged with attempted murder of a police officer and first degree assault. His next court date is in June.
