** Yukon brewery steps up to make hand sanitizer for first responders during COVID-19 outbreak

CANADA NEWS

** In an effort to assist in the shortage of hand sanitizer for first responders, a Yukon brewery in Whitehorse has decided to produce the product. That is the word from CBC News (Mike Rudyk/March 23) which said Yukon Brewing is following a trend elsewhere in Canada and the US whereby companies switch from making their standard items to helping in the fight against COVID-19. Company spokesman Bob Baxter said the recipe for the sanitizer, which is 75 per cent ethanol, was created from World Health Organization info and input from his brewmaster. He said the product will be offered first to emergency services personnel, before being rolled out commercially and to the general public.
