** Former US combat medic from Hawaii sentenced to over 3 decades in jail for arranging wife’s death

UNITED STATES NEWS

** A former US Army combat medic from Hawaii has been sentenced to 35 years behind bars for arranging to have his wife killed in 2014. That is the word from the Daily Mail (Mehan Sheets/February 10) which said Honolulu resident Michael Walker, 40, was sentenced Monday. According to the newspaper, Walker pleaded guilty in September to second-degree murder. At the time, he said he enticed his girlfriend, Alisa Jackson, 29, to stab his wife Catherine Walker to death while he was at work at Tripler Army Medical Center. Jackson received 30 years under a deal after entering a guilty plea to murder in 2015. Monday’s sentence is not the only one for Walker. He was given ten years and a dishonorable discharge after being convicted on child porn tags in 2016 and on sexually abusing a child, physically assaulting a child, and wrongfully communicating a threat in 2017. He was also reduced in rank from sergeant to private.
