** Emergency help hails by patients consuming cannabis edibles in Winnipeg, Manitoba doubled in 2019 over the previous year. CTV News (Danton Unger/January 15) said paramedics recorded 42 such calls in 2019 over only 23 the year before. According to the news site, 2020 has seen two cannabis related calls so far. A city spokesman said the reason for the spike is not clear, but could be due to increased disclosure since marijuana is now legal. Commercial cannabis edibles, meanwhile, have been available in stores since December of last year.
