** Wisconsin medic sentenced to probation and possible jail time for sexually assaulting vulnerable female patient

UNITED STATES NEWS

** A Wisconsin paramedic from Wausau, who pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting a vulnerable female patient in his care in September 2017, has been sentenced to a year behind bars with work release. That is the word from the Wausau Daily Herald (Natalie Brophy/November 26) which said Clifford J. Heiser, 35, was handed the sentence Tuesday. According to the newspaper, Heiser, who originally faced nearly nine years in jail, may, however, actually not serve any time. The sentence mandated one year in jail with three years probation. If he completes the probation, the incarceration will be waived. Heiser will also be a registered sex offender for 15 years and must pay the 29-year-old victim’s counselling costs.
