** Arkansas paramedic arrested for stealing diamond ring from dead patient, pawning it

** Arkansas police in Hot Springs have arrested a paramedic for allegedly stealing a nearly $8,000 diamond solitaire gold ring from a dead patient October 16th. The Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette (Steven Mross/November 13) said Lisa Darlene Glaze, 50, was taken into custody Monday. According to the newspaper, Glaze, who has been charged with felony theft by receiving over $5,000 x 1, allegedly cut the ring from the patient’s finger. She then apparently pawned it on October 24th for $45. If convicted, she could face a decade behind bars. She has also been tagged with misdemeanor unlawful transfer of stolen property to a pawnshop. The latter carries a penalty of one year in jail. Now out on bond, her next court date in November 26th.
