** Woman who attempted to flee UK ambulance four times commits suicide after hospital discharge

** NHS officials in South Lanarkshire have launched an investigation after a woman who attempted to escape an ambulance 4  times Sunday later killed herself after hospital discharge. The Mirror (Kathleen Speirs/October 18) said Denise Maher, 36, took her own life within 24 hours of her EMS and hospital treatment. According to the newspapers, prehospital providers were originally hailed to treat her for a prescription drug overdose. Maher’s family said she was discharged too soon from the hospital. Maher, who had three children and was a former care home worker, had apparently recently suffered from mental health issues.
