** Texas paramedic arrested, charged after allegedly making sexual comments to 17-year-old female patient

** A Texas paramedic from Alice has been charged with official oppression after he allegedly made inappropriate comments to a 17-year-old girl he was transporting to hospital. That is the word from the Alice Echo News Journal (Melissa Cantu Trevino/September 19) which said Eduardo Garcia IV was arrested September 13th. According to the newspaper, complaints were made about Garcia two days before by a hospital employee reporting the girl’s accusations. The teen then gave a sworn statement to police attesting that Garcia’s remarks were sexual in nature. Pending the outcome of the investigation, Garcia has been suspended from his EMS job in Alice. Police continue to investigate. There is no word on when his next court date will be.
