** A student paramedic from Staffordshire is dead after an evening crash in Needwood between the West Midlands ambulance she was riding in and a car. The Express & Star (Jordan Reynolds/July 4) said the unidentified 31-year-old died in hospital after being airlifted following the 5:45 p.m. accident. According to the newspaper, two other medics were transported to hospital, but later released. The car driver, meanwhile, sustained non-life threatening injuries to her leg. There is no word on how the crash happened. Police continue to investigate. Funeral services are pending.
