** A car driver making an illegal U-turn has been determined to be the cause of a Monday crash that killed an off-duty Palm Springs, California paramedic. KESQ (March 20) said that is the determination of the preliminary police investigation which said the action resulted in the Honda driver hitting a motorcycle driven by American Medical Response medic Edward Lustro, 34 around 8:30 a.m. Lustro died at the scene. The unidentified 54-year-old car driver, meanwhile, could face charges in relation to the accident. Police said he is cooperating with the investigation and did not appear to be high or alcohol or drugs at the time. Lustro leaves a wife behind. Funeral services are pending.
