** Texas paramedic, who had leg amputated after being hit at accident scene, is back at work

** A Texas paramedic from Waco is back at work after losing his leg last August 19th to injuries sustained following a hit from a drunk driver at an MVA scene. That is the word from KWTX (John Carroll/July 10) which said Rory Barrios began training Monday in Dallas to transition into becoming an EMS dispatcher. Barrios spent over four months in hospital and endured 15 separate surgeries including the leg amputation. The man who hit Barrios, meanwhile, goes to trial next week in Waco.
