** Tennessee Bureau of Investigation opens case into EMT/firefighter’s death

UNITED STATES NEWS

** The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is now looking into the death of a Nashville EMT/firefighter who disappeared earlier this month after his vehicle plunged into the Tennessee River. That is the word from Fox 17 (Samantha Singer/March 19) which said a TBI spokesman told the family of Jesse Reed, 32, that the investigation is both active and ongoing. According to the news site, Reed’s body was found in the river some 12 days after he vanished. Although his wife Ellen, who is an EMT, was also in the car at the time of the accident, she escaped without injury. The two share three children together. Search warrants have been executed on the couple’s home in an effort to clarify the exact circumstances of Reed’s death. Reed, who has worked for the Nashville Fire Department since 2013, was a firefighter and advanced EMT. He was also qualified in Hazmat, rope rescue, and vehicle extrication techniques.
