** Former Canadian Armed Forces medic sentenced to jail for conducting inappropriate breast exams on female recruits

** A former Canadian Armed Forces medic will spend an extra nine months in jail after being convicted of conducting bogus breast exams on female recruits. The Ottawa Citizen (CP/September 26) said retired petty officer James Wilks will have the sentence added to a previous 30 month incarceration. According to the newspaper, Wilks was convicted in February of sexual assault x 1 and breach of trust x 3. In December 2011 and 2013 he was also convicted of other similar crimes. All the convictions relate to the period before Wilks retired in April 2011.
