** Drunk Pennsylvania woman kicks female paramedic, knocks her unconscious

** Pennsylvania police in Kutztown arrested a drunk woman Saturday after she hauled off and hit a female paramedic, knocking her unconscious. The Reading Eagle (August 9) said Gloria M. Gordon, 26, has been tagged with aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. According to the newspaper, police originally responded to Gordon’s home for a domestic incident in which Gordon hit a man. Arriving police handcuffed her to prevent her from attacking them. Once inside the EMS unit, she was cuffed to the stretcher. Despite four policemen holding her down, Gordon managed to free one leg and kicked the female provider. The medic fell backwards from the ambulance unconscious. Gordon was then sedated prior to hospital transport. The medic, meanwhile, suffered a mild concussion. A police officer also was treated for an injured forearm. Gordon was arraigned Tuesday and is currently out on bail.
