** Funeral services were held Friday in Maine for a Sebago paramedic who died last week in a target shooting accident. WMTV (David Charns/August 3) said the commemoration for Chance Gallant, 20, was held at the city’s town hall at 1 p.m. According to the newspaper, Gallant died from a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. He and his friends were examining a jammed rifle when the weapon apparently discharged. Police say the incident appears to be an accident, but the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office said charges could still be pending. The Maine State Police are in charge of the investigation.
