UNITED STATES NEWS

** Arraignment has been set for August 16th for an Oklahoma paramedic accused of stealing medications from his ambulance service. The Wagoner County American-Tribune (Christy Wheeland/July 8) said Coweta paramedic/firefighter Jordan Fox, 28, was arrested July 3rd. He has been charged with larceny, concealing stolen property, burglary or theft of a controlled dangerous substance, consuming or inhaling intoxicants in a public place, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and uses tincture of opium, tincture of opium camphorated or any derivative thereof by hypodermic method. Fox, who is now on paid administrative leave, was nabbed after an internal fire department drug audit showed irregularities. He had only been with the fire department since the beginning of the year and was still on probation at the time of his arrest.

UNITED KINGDOM NEWS

** A Yorkshire paramedic has been suspended from practicing for nine months after making lewd remarks to a female colleague. That is the word from The Daily Mail (Scott Campbell/July 10) which said Richard Senior, 43, harassed the woman, who is a lesbian, by suggesting sexual activity together with her. He also boasted to patients of his sexual conquests. In 2015, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) ordered Senior be under constant supervision to monitor his conduct. However, the dictate was extended to a suspension after panel members said he failed to show any desire to change his behaviour. He did not attend his final HCPC hearing. Panel spokesman Richard Claughton said Senior’s bullying behaviour was often done in tandem with fellow practitioner Andrew Rolley. Rolley was suspended in 2015 for 12 months.
