** Newfoundland paramedic killed in Monday crash laid to rest
** Funeral services took place yesterday for a Newfoundland paramedic killed early Monday in an off duty car crash. VOCM (May 19) said St. John’s resident Darren David Guy Taylor, 39, died near Brigus Junction after his vehicle went off the road. The ceremony honoring his life took place at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Pearl’s Barrett’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers, attendees were being asked to make donations to a fund for sufferers of PTSD set up the Canadian Mental Health Association.
