** Missouri EMT charged with raping boy while on ambulance ride-along
** Georgia grand jury indicts EMT on whole slew of drug charges

** Missouri police in Christian County have charged an Arkansas EMT with raping a boy who was on a ride-along in his ambulance. KSPR (Frances Watson/March 28) said James Michael Liaromatis, 47, has been tagged with first degree sodomy as well as 10 other charges. According to the newspaper, Liaromatis could face life in prison, if convicted. Arrested last week for the year ago attack on the 16-year-old, he has worked EMS in several other counties, as well as in Baxter, Arkansas. Police say prior to this, Liaromatis’ record was apparently clean. Particulars of the current case indicate he first plied the teen with alcohol and pornography before sexually assaulting him. The boy’s mother sparked the investigation after reporting the incident to police. Liaromatis is being held in jail without bond.
** A former Georgia EMT from Coweta County has been indicted on drug tags by a grand jury. That is the word from The LaGrange News (Melanie Ruberti/March 29) which said Martin Terrell Potts, 35, has been slammed with possession of methamphetamine, possession of Midazolam, possession of Sustanon 350, possession of dangerous drugs including epinephrine, haloperidol, diphenhydramine, and Odansetron. Additional tags are related to possession of Piroxicam and Amoxicillin. Potts was also charged with taking drugs and medical supplies from his American Medical Response service. was fired He from his job on October 23rd of last year after refusing a drug test when supervisors accused him of showing up high at work. A search of his belongings found various meds and prescription drugs under another person’s name. There is no word yet on his next court date.
